After some Time (1 Year), i reused my moitessier HAT again.
I am using the latest firmware, getting AIS signals from some Ships, but the recieve covering seems now very bad.
Last time i used the HAT it recieved every Ship around me in 10km.
I read about the Power Supply Noises, so i also tried other Supplys, but there is no difference, even the cheapest USB-Stick gets more Ships.
Also the GPS gets no Satellites, even with an external Antenna. It tells about “Open Antenna” in the Serial-Stream.
The other Sensors are working well.
Is there an Amplifier that could have ben broken for the Receiver? Is it possible to send it in for an Check?
PS: I also need another HAT (for Raspberry 4), do you have an expected delivery termin?

Have you changed the Pi in the past? Noise radition is mainly caused by the Pi and not primarly by the power supply.
If GPS is not working as well, I don’t think the gain block of the AIS receiver has broken. You might have an other hardware related problem. Has anything happened that would explain this hardware failure?
I could check your hardware if you want to and replace broken components.
