Hi!
I am using a tiller pilot on my boat and the old giro in that device is not sufficient when the boats movements get stronger.
Therefore we had the idea to receive the steering information from iSailor, which we are using as a plotter. iSailor can use external data sources and use them to optimize the steering proposals.
now we have some questions:

  • Has anybody already tried to set something alike up?
  • What is the frequency of the own ship kinematics (heading, roll, pitch,..) ?
    • from the Moitessier Hat to the Pi
    • in the Pi (openPlotter)
    • from the Pi via WLAN to external devices
  • Which would be the best version of the Pi (due to its power consumption)?

If anybody has ideas. pleas let me know!
