Questions and AnswersCategory: Moitessier HATKernel installation 4.19.58
Ezequiel Ungar asked 5 years ago

Hi,
I´m performing the first installation of the Moittessier over Raspberry PI 3B+ with Openplotter 1.2.0 alpha, and when boot appear the message: “Failed to start LSB: Loads the Moitessier HAT driver during booting”. After that I tried to install using the install tool in the openplotter menu, but there are not available packages to install and indicate that the current kernel version is 4.19.58-v7+ #1245 SMP.
After that I tried to install manually the package using the comand sudo dpkg -i moitessier_4.19.58_armhf.deb and results “ERROR occured!! Flashing firmware failed”
Please, could you help me in order to resolve it?
Thanks in advance,
Quelo

Can you give more information on your issue? Can you send me the kernel messages?

Regards,
Thomas

Hi Tomas,
Please find below the boot log. Do you need another log? Thanks in advance,
Ezequiel.

Hello Ezequiel,
the log mentions that your HAT is not available. Is it attached to the board?
Has the HAT worked in the past?

Regards,
Thomas

Ezequiel Ungar replied 5 years ago

Yes, the HAT is attached to the board, and the two leds are flashing on green, but this is the first implementation, this hat was never tested before.

Thomas Staff replied 5 years ago

Is there anything else attached to the Raspberry Pi? Is the Pi new? Any modifications done on the Pi?
Have you enabled SPI and I2C in the Pi config?

Ezequiel Ungar replied 5 years ago

Hi Thomas,

Sorry for the late reply, Only the Raspberry 7″ LCD touch screen is attached to the Board. It is posible to connect this type of display or I need to connect a HDMI display?

Thomas Staff replied 5 years ago

Have you also connected the four cables of the touch screen to the 40-pin IO header? How have you done this, if the HAT is attached to the IO header?
